We’re in the middle of the high school years around here, and things are going better than expected. Bet you didn’t expect to read that.

Yep, things are shaping up nicely for my son, age 15. He has become more independent and responsible for his education, which has been both a relief (the early years were scary! 😬) and affirming (yeah, I knew what I was doing all along. 😏)

Honestly, I was never one to fear the homeschooling high years. In fact, I’ve looked forward to them! Nevertheless, being a year or so in has solidified my resolve to empower my son throughout the rest of his homeschooling years and other homeschooling parents who will walk in my footsteps in the future.

I’ll share more about how we’re tackling high school (with confidence and a smile) in future blog posts, videos, and more. For now, check out my video, where I share what we’re using for my 10th grader’s fall and winter sessions for the 2023-2024 school year. In it, I also share three tips for homeschooling with teens.
