Finding an African-Centered homeschool curriculum seems to be like finding a needle in a haystack. Over the years, I’ve read blog posts that shared lists of African-Centered curriculum that only included the same companies over and over again. While there’s nothing wrong with that, I wanted more options. I knew there had to be more options. Our history is too rich for there not to be an ample supply of curriculum sharing our stories and teaching the truth. So, I scoured the inter-webs, as well as asked my peeps on Instagram, for African-Centered curriculum creators to curate my own living list.
Our history is too rich for there not to be an ample supply of curriculum sharing our stories and teaching the truth.
The list below is neither all-inclusive nor specific to History. As an added bonus, I’ve included links to resources created by African-American teachers sold on Teacher Pay Teachers. We need to support them, too!
Note: I have not used all of the resources listed. Also, some offer free materials, while others offer their products at a cost. However, all of the creators are filling a substantial gap in the African-Centered homeschool resources space, so please support them, if you can.

I looked into it, but didn’t find it fit with the others. I’ll keep an eye on it to see if they change some things in the future. Thanks for your comment!

Hi! I own a small, private African-centered homeschool. I can provide you with more information about my curriculum; however my website is http://www.ubuntueducates.com. I would love to qualify for your list! Please consider. Thanks

Hi, Kiya. I reviewed your site, and I didn’t see where you have curriculum to purchase. Maybe I missed it. If so, provide a link so I can take a look to see if it will fit with the list I created.
